Temporary position, federal funds.  To begin approximately August 2015.  Training to be Performed: Participate in research projects related to renewable energy and smart-grid technology including modeling and analyzing the distribution system using technical software program, field data monitoring and analysis, and assessment of various operational approaches and technology deployments to effectively manage high penetration of renewable energy resources in the electricity grid.  Report research outcome and plans, organizes, and manages project related tasks associated with HNEI renewable energy and smart-grid technology projects.  Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.  General knowledge of energy systems and electric utility planning, operations, technology trends and business practices.
