Hawai’i Natural Energy Institute, SOEST, 11-month, temporary, extramural funds.
To begin approximately Fall 2020, part-time position, 50% FTE, 20 hours per week.
Duties to be Performed: Assist the Principal Investigator in conducting energy systems research. The research assistant will be expected to be trained in EHSO laboratory safety, plan and conduct research related to renewable energy systems, conduct data analysis and reduction, and organize and report findings.
Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Prior admission to the mechanical engineering graduate program or civil and environmental engineering graduate program at the University of Hawai‘i. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Capacity to maintain professional relationships with coworkers.
Salary: $2,429.00 per month (GA Step 15)
