Hawai’i Natural Energy Institute, SOEST, 11-month, temporary, extramural funds.
To begin approximately Spring 2020. Part time, 50% FTE, 20 hours per week.
Duties to be Performed: Assist the Principal Investigator in conducting research related to materials development for water purification and hydrogen storage. The research assistant will be expected to be trained in EHSO laboratory safety, plan and conduct materials development experiments, perform characterization techniques and report the finding in a publication style report.
Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Prior admission to the mechanical engineering graduate program at the University of Hawai‘i. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work effectively in research organizations and establish and maintain professional relationships with coworkers.
Salary: $2,429 per month.
