Hawai’i Natural Energy Institute, SOEST, 11-month, temporary, extramural funds. To begin Fall 2021, half-time position, 20 hours per week.
Duties to be Performed: Assist the Principal Investigator in conducting research related to materials development for air/water purification and hydrogen storage. The research assistant will plan and conduct materials development experiments, perform characterization techniques and report the findings in publication style reports.
Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or Chemistry. Prior admission to the mechanical engineering graduate program at the University of Hawai‘i. Successful completion of EHSO safety training or capable of completion upon hire. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work effectively in research organizations and establish and maintain professional relationships with coworkers.
Salary: $2,429 per month.
